Hollywood Theaters formed in 1991 after founder Scott Wallace began Wallace Theater Corp. Expanding into Hawaii and over the next several years, Wallace purchased Hollywood Theatres Inc. in 1999. Today, the theater chain operates over 500 screens in 49 locations across the U.S., South Pacific Territories, and the Cayman Islands. A majority of Hollywood Theaters locations offer stadium-style seating and the company continues to invest digital projection and 3D technology. In international markets, the theater company acquired locations in Guam and Saipan in 2008. Headquarters reside in Portland, Oregon.
